Conditions Update

Snow totals are adding up today as a potent midweek storm pushes across the Tetons! While no new snow fell last night more is on the way!

Through the first half of the day, models show 5–6" of new snow, with an additional 1–3" expected by early afternoon before a brief lull sets in. Snow ratios climb into the 13–18:1 range through midday, meaning much lighter, fluffier snow as temperatures fall from the upper 20s into the teens. High-end projections place the morning storm in the 6–13" range, though the more likely outcome is near the middle of that spread.

Winds have been strong at times, gusting 45–55 mph this morning before gradually easing into the afternoon. This may create areas of drifting and inconsistent snow depth at higher elevations.

Another round of snow redevelops late tonight, with models suggesting 3–6" possible overnight into early Thursday, keeping conditions fresh for the following day.

Overall, Wednesday is a high-accumulation day with strong winds, falling temperatures, and multiple waves of snowfall—expect storm riding, limited visibility at times, and rapidly improving coverage across the upper mountain.
